| It was an epic event. DC BMX rider Dave Mirra and DC motocross rider Mike Cinqmars helped make the first Tony Hawk Boom Boom Huckjam show a sensational and over-the-top success. The Saturday, April 27 preview show in Las Vegas was a taste of whats to come this fall, when the six-week tour gets cracking. |
| Dave and Cinq, along with Tony Hawk and other top skaters, BMX riders and motocrossers, put on a wild show on a million-dollar ramp/track/stage construction. After Social Distortion opened the evening, Cinq and the motocrossers came out and performed. They were followed by Mirra and the BMX riders and finally the skaters. Later, The Offspring hit the stage, and during their encore all the athletes came out and performed together as a light show and fireworks went off. The whole scene was capped off by a huge sonic boom, which shook everyone from their seats. The first-of-its kind spectacle left viewers amped many still screaming and cheering as they streamed out of the Mandalay Bay. |
| The Las Vegas premier was filmed for ESPN, so stay tuned for upcoming info on the 60-minute television special, which airs this summer. |
